I END UP WORRYING MYSELF silly about it all through the night and the next day too. My body’s still jittery with nerves by the time I go to bed on Tuesday, and I feel lightheaded. Talking to Tabitha yesterday about the possibility of being biromantic has just made it seem all the more real, and I had a job to appear normal at dinner with Victoria earlier. I’d nodded, even though I felt sick and the smell of the quiche wasn’t helping.

Now, my empty stomach churns and churns, and I curl onto my side, wrapping my duvet around me tighter.
